I am currently developing a project for IoT devices and going to implement it into the cloud. I have searched up and down looking for some sort of similar reference to the board I will be using, and theres only 1 maybe 2 other models of this board but it's still not the same model. I'm at a stand still because I don't want to mess the board up as this could be pretty huge for a lot of companies/developers, i pretty much been hibernating with my space looking like a mess with tech stuff everywhere. I dont need help doing the things I just need a little bit of direction, and I like arduino and will probably stick with it for my cloud deployment.
Sorry if this isn't allowed here i'm still new and learning and trying to absorb as much info as I can, and if anyone wants to help I am probably more than okay with that!
Yes that would be probably helpful. Apologies, i'm just really cautious these days since you never know who you can trust (no disrespect) I'm just getting overwhelmed with all the different options and companies, "go here" "choose us" etc. I wanna share it with the world but I want it to be my creation/project if that makes any sense. It's my first attempt at making a IoT board.
So the board in question is actually a monitor board, I cant find the exact sku or there just isn't another one out there and I would need provide the documentation for it.
The board is a MSi Optix MAG247QRF - well the monitor the board is coming out of. It's actually a lot more to it then just a monitor, features i didn't even know it had there is also another board attached which i believe is for the Ai that was built with it but there is numbers all over it, but has AUO written on it.
Sorry I might be in the wrong place, there are a couple of arduino boards that are really close/similar and there is a section for DiY projects with other boards, I might need the arduino board to bring everything together.
So you want to have one or two boards that you don't know anything about and you want to connect them in some way to the IoT cloud. If you don't know anything about them, you will have a very hard time to complete your project.
I understand, I just assumed you could still program a board even it wasn't arduino but it would be a bit goofy to post that here... I found some documentation on it and to be honest it would just be easier to use an actual arduino board. I just have a bunch of extra boards laying around and figured they could be reprogrammed but come to find out that would be more difficult and more time consuming.
I'm in a rough spot in my life and wanting to build a project to to tell my story and share with everyone and not sure where to start. I want to do everything at once and i know that's not possible so I need to start small. Sorry to take up everyone's time. Maybe some suggestions on beginner boards ?
When you say "cloud" are you talking about a specific "cloud" service or do you generally mean communication across the internet and using internet based services ?
I'd suggest getting a cheap ESP32 board and start playing with that. Via your home WiFi it can contact the internet, send data to servers and interface to services out there. There are stacks of tutorials to get started.
Once you know what can be achieved you can start experimenting with more exotic boards.
Thanks for the reply, will check it out! And I would like to eventually try out both, I have a main system that can host a cloud server, but would also like to create a IoT device to access the other devices here for basically internet like you described. I'm in an apartment and they are doing some really shady stuff and are aware of it or they don't have a clue that someone or someone's is using devices throughout the whole building in order to use internet and they are basically cranking up the bandwidth on unknowing end users so in turn the users/mangers of the apartments are having to fork out a % of the cut to whom ever is doing it. I know this is off topic but it really gets to me.
