Got a load of these DC motors hooked up to... something? Help me figure out!

So I got loads of these motors from a place not to be named, and was wondering what's the mini-board there? As I figured out it's a DC motor, probably 9 or 12 V, but not sure what the the other cables are for? Is that an encoder? How do I hook it up? I'm pretty new at electronics in practice, so any help or speculation would be appreciated

Have a great day

Take the PCB out, and take a photo of both sides (Close & in focus) - try to reverse engineer what you see. Looks like some kind of sensor board.

Possibly a homing sensor? Is there a magnet mounted in the back of the large gear wheel?

As requested, inserted better picture, took out the gearwheels. the big one appears to have some kind of a magnet, the PCB is screw to the case and I don't have a tool to unscrew it. My main question is which cables do what? blue and brown spin the motor, I tried them out, and there is conductance between red and black. Green is a mystery.

Can you get a closer picture of the PCB ?

I ASSUME that Red & Black are VCC & GND and Green is an open drain output from the hall effect magnet sensor.

All the dust/dirt around that gear suggest somethings been ground down due to insufficient clearance...

Its either Hall sensor/switch or optical, a much better macro-photograph is needed to say more.
