Hello everyone!
It was a very unlucky Friday the 13th for me as I purchased an orignal Arduino Mega 2560. As I connected it on my mac, I saw that the Mega's Atmega16U2 was in DFU Mode. I am using the latest version of the Arduino IDE. I was able to confirm that it was in DFU mode when I open the Arduino IDE, it was not able to detect the port and when I check the USB sheet it detects the board as Atmega16U2. So with that I had to follow this link toput it back to the correct mode: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Hacking/DFUProgramming8U2
After following the link the port is now correct (it detects it as usbmodem1411). Unfortunately I still cannot upload any code. It is weird that the RX and TX LEDs are not responding when the Blinky code is being uploaded. I flashed the bootloader and still no luck.
Do you guys have some pointers on how I could make this work? Your help would be much appreciated.
