I'm looking for a laser "rangefinder" for close-range scanning of mechanical key profiles; I was hoping for +-.1mm accuracy with a range of 5-25 mm. Is anyone aware of a cheaper piece of hardware than Parallax's? I spent a few hours over the problem with Google, so I know that there are better ones…
