GP2D02 's weird behaviours

I am using GP2D02 distance sensor from sharp.
My problem is that output voltage is maximum 2V :(.
Since this is my first post I can not post any link here . I will provide details in follow post
Thank you for your help.

I follow the instruction here http://slab.concordia.ca/2009/arduino/ir-range-finder/ and here http://www.ottawarobotics.org/articles/gp2d02/gp2d02.html.
However, both of them I have problems that the output voltage is maximum 2V :(.

Note: I do not have a Zenner diot for my connection as demonstrating here: http://slab.concordia.ca/2009/arduino/ir-range-finder/. Is it really matter
Thank you for your help.

By the way , I am using Arduino Duemilanove. Thanks again

Hi vinhvo,

without that diode you might have burned the Sensor.

Just tested it with my old GP2D02 (back from old
Handyboard days). It works fine with a resistor network
as described at (for example) Erweiterungen an der Roboter-Hardware
to keep Vin in 3.3V. Sorry for the text in german.

Maybe that could help. I used a Diecimila with Arduino 0018.

Ciao
