GPIO on SX1278

Hi,

There are few "General Purpose I/O pins" on SX1278. Can they be used as outputs?

Thanks and Regards,

The SX1278 is an IC.
Wouldn't it make sense to read the datasheet?

.

Though I use AiThinker RA-02 module which uses SX1278 but that doesnt matter to the question, does it?

I read the datasheet, quoting the datasheet

"Six of SX1276/77/78/79’s general purpose IO pins are available used in LoRaTM mode. Their mapping is shown below and depends upon the configuration of registers RegDioMapping1 and RegDioMapping2"

Seeking help since there is no mention of using them as outputs

So the datasheet does not say you can use them as outputs, nor does it mention any method of setting them low or high, so maybe you cannot ?

Perhaps what your asking is has anyone contacted Semtech to ask them if there is a hidden register(s) somewhere that allows these pins to be used as independant I\O pins for external devices ?

Looking at Table 29 and 30, and Figure 4.2.12 of the SX1278 data sheet, it appears that those I/O pins are always under control of the radio and are not user accessible. Furthermore it appears that only DIO2 is bidirectional, the rest are outputs.
