I would like to install an Arduino device in an automobile. Thus it would have access to a 12V power source. The Arduino will have GPRS capability. I noticed there are a lot of GPRS Shields on eBay.
Does anyone have experince using the shield in a battery powered environment. I would like to find the lowest powered GPRS shield so that I minimize the drain on the battery. Bonus if your post includes current / power measurements and the make/model of the GPRS shield.
