GPS issue (location doesn't change)

Hello,

I am using SparkFun GPS Module - Copernicus II DIP (12 Channel) which works fine but after a while (weeks) of using it, it keeps spitting out the same location even if I change location.

This is the second module to have this problem!!

why is this happening?!

Is this immediately after powering up, or is it for extended periods of time?
Are you in clear view of most of the sky?
No metal/trees in the way?

Please post your code. There could be other memory issues not related to the GPS device.

How do you know the GPS is sending the same location ?

Are are you just assuming that because your software reports the same position ?

I used it and it was running good getting correct location and I stopped using it for a week and then used it again and it gets a fix but still reports the same last location from a week ago!!

You did not answer the question posed in #5.

However, given the high price of this module ($75) have you considered asking the supplier (Sparkfun) for some free support, you would hope they have specific expertise for the products they sell ?
