I mean there are Nano versions that don't have a serial chip at all, they have native USB capability, so don't need one. Nano 33 BLE, Nano 33 IoT, Nano Every, Nano RP2040... they share the "Nano" name but not much else, different chips, different voltages, different pinouts to the classic 5V atmega328 Nano.
