@HillmanImp I´m away on a buisinesstrip atm so I have no access to my private laptop. But i´ve got inspiered by the datalogging that the polygon Downhill team is doing since a couple of years. The housing is pretty simple like this one:

It´s just a box with a cap on it. I use linear potentiometers in combination with Xlr plugs looking like this, but strapped on with some cable ties ![]()
I´m working as a test engineer so I´m used to data and evaluating data. My 3D printing skills are not that great as I just started last year due to the pandemic. I do a lot of excel at work and occasionally MATLAB but arduino was also something that I´ve discoverd because of corona.
There is a good point with the frequency for the GPS... So I think I go for a standard 1 - 5Hz model though. So when I´m back home and have got some time I´ll order everything and kick back to you guys whenever there are some questions or results I can post.
