GPS MP3 player

need some feedback on this concept. I'm thinking of making an MP3 player with GPS. It'd play certain songs based on location, time and day of the week.
essentially giving your life a soundtrack
Thoughts?
I know this could be an app but I think a purpose built device would work better.

I'm more well-verse in arduino but could this be too processor intensive? Might I need a mega or beaglebone?

I'd rather keep it small as I envision using it for jogging.

A cheap GPS module like the uBlox NEO-6M and an MP3 Shield on an Arduino UNO should give you the capability to write what you want. You might want an RTC chip that you can set from the GPS time for those periods when you are indoors for a long time.

We get a lot of beginners here asking about project proposals and I must say that is the best one I have ever come across. Well done I can imagine that would be very cool.
Yes it is perfectly feasible.
