I have a project to build a arduino RC car. Does it possible to build a RC car with obstacle avoiding include the GPS location?

I'm a student and a beginner to use arduino. :sob:

How big are the obstacles?
What sort of accuracy do you expect from GPS?

How is the car sensing the 'obstacles' ?
