Graphic LCD 128 x 64 . Meaning of MUX 1/64

I have a Lampex GLCD with the KS108 chip.

The data sheet says 1/64 MUX. What does this mean ? I would like to get a link to a document which explains this or simply be told what it means.

In fact any LCD module talks of this MUX term.

It means Multiplex.

In practice, the LCD has probably got 64 columns and it activates one column at a time. For 1/64 of the total time. When all 64 columns have been refreshed, it repeats the process.

I am sure that Wikipedia can explain it better.
