Green LED not illuminating

Dear Experts,

I am new to Arduino and I have been facing this problem: the green LED just beside the reset button is not illuminating. I have gone through the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Making sure that the power cable is properly switched on
  • The drivers for serial port has been successfully installed in my laptop
  • The orange LED is blinking properly on and off

Kindly suggest what other troubleshooting steps I should follow.

What model of Arduino do you have?
The LED is only lit when serial communications are taking place. Can you upload a sketch?

Thank you for the reply.

The problem got solved finally. the cable connecting the board and the USB port turned out to be faulty. By replacing it, problem got solved~
