Hi, wondering about the feasibility of using arduino to control motors to open vents, and operate motors that roll up the sides of a greenhouse when its getting too hot (and roll it down when it cools off). The challenge would be having the motor start at the correct temperature, but it would also have to stop rolling when it has reached the top of the vent, before it starts ripping plastic.
It would also be cool to do general weather station stuff like wirelessly transmitting temperature information to the home computer. One issue is we dont have internet in the greenhouses, and its a good 600 feet from the house, which does have internet. Any ideas? I am a complete newby, so I appreciate your patience. Thanks!
