I would be interested, but of course I have extra shipping costs. I got a friend in the USA to ship me a fairly light gadget recently which cost $9 to ship (First-class International I think the USPS calls it). At that rate I wouldn't mind ordering 5 of each of them (ie. $66.50 worth). I already have a couple here which I weighed at 3.5 g for a transmitter/receiver pair. The total weight then for 5 of them would be 17.5 g (0.62 oz).
So if you can do it for around $10 shipping I would come in with you (for 5 of each). If the shipping goes up to $30 or so, then it is probably cheaper to get them locally (they sell here for $12.50 for one item, so that is $25 for the transmitter/receiver pair). If it's too much trouble don't worry, I am not desperate for them.
MagicMike,
You have used these with VirtualWire? What transmitter?
I was googling for 434MHz parts, these didn't come up, kept getting hits on the sparkfun fun and these laipac parts.
I'd like to buy in the US if possible, avoid any customs/import hassles.
I was looking at least 10 shipping was only $4/set. Would put for more if there is interest.
Are these purchasable in the US? Mouser brings up a blank page on them currently.
Focalist, I see your reply in my in box but not here for some reason.
Yep, I've fenced with your son's pediatrician! Drawing a blank on his name tho.
I'm fencing this weekend, then next weekend our division hosts one of the biggest east coast events of the year, the 23rd annual Pomme De Terre at Brandeis University in Waltham.
500+ fencers in individual and team events.
Fencing starts Saturday morning June 18, come on by if you get a chance.
I am fencing Saturday morning, coaching on Sunday.
CrossRoads, I have not used these with virtual wire, but see no reason why they would not work. I have used them with the sparkfun transmitter and they work fine.
We use them in the Arduino remote control product, MintyMote: Wicked Device Shop
