Grove Base Shield won't switch on

Hello. I have some prior experience with Arduino and was trying to create a remote control car. However, whenever I attach a 3 volt, to my Arduino clone my Base Shield doesn’t switch on the power LED. The shield won’t even switch on. I think it may happen due to power issues, because of my L298N motor shield. Any idea of how to solve the problem?.tb_button {padding:1px;cursor:pointer;border-right: 1px solid #8b8b8b;border-left: 1px solid #FFF;border-bottom: 1px solid #fff;}.tb_button.hover {borer:2px outset #def; background-color: #f8f8f8 !important;}.ws_toolbar {z-index:100000} .ws_toolbar .ws_tb_btn {cursor:pointer;border:1px solid #555;padding:3px} .tb_highlight{background-color:yellow} .tb_hide {visibility:hidden} .ws_toolbar img {padding:2px;margin:0px}

Please provide at least links to the motor shield and the groove shield; preferably links to the schematics of those shields.

Where do you attach a 3V?

Which Arduino are you using?
