The official GSM shield does not use a SIM900. No, the official library won't work with your shield.

You have right, but was hoping someone would have adapted the code for sim900, as it certainly is the most common and inexpensive.
The reason for this question is because I am not able to run a web server on sim900. I tried with the example of this bookshop GitHub - MarcoMartines/GSM-GPRS-GPS-Shield: GSM/GPRS & GPS Shield Library for modules using SIM900/SIM908 but is meaningless sample. A webserver that is constantly updated, never to be updated, which does not make much sense for a gprs line and have not been able to lanze html code once and wait for new requests

Someone some info or can help me?
