Hi everyone. I'm very new to arduino and last time I was working on how to pass value like string from vb to arduino and get response. And now I'm currently working arduino uno with GSM module.
I had watched many video tutorial on youtube on how to connect them both but they have so many brand and models of arduino and GSM. Example, I'm using SIM900a mini of GSM and Arduino uno r3, but some tutorial shows different kind of arduino and GSM like SIM800 and more.
I want to ask how many wires of male and female should I use to Arduino uno r3 and GSM SIM900a mini? And also where should I place or put those wire on the pin? And how will I know if the wiring is right because SIM900a mini has no led that would turn on if it was used correctly? I've noticed that SIM800a has a led unlike SIM900a mini.
I will appreciate every help. I hope someone could help me. If you have link where I can read and follow instruction please share the link.

Please try using the non-Windows App Store version of the Arduino IDE downloaded from https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software. There are multiple reports of your error caused by using the Windows Store version of the Arduino IDE. If that solves the problem then please let us know because the Arduino developer is working on finding a solution for this bug now.
