Guidance/Tracking

Hi! Can you please post links to tutorials or projects that have to do with guidance, and tracking of objects.

Also, what is the range of the photo resister if I want to track light. Thanks!

How about this ?

Or this?

What do you mean by "track light"?

I wanted to make a car or maybe even rocket track a light source.

Forget the rocket. It'll be illegal in most jurisdictions.

OTOH, googling the Sidewinder missile's seeker may yield some useful info.

Oh dear, perhaps you think we know exactly what you mean by 'track'.

Follow in some way ?

Work out where it is in 2D\3D space ?

Work out where its going to end up ?

I have been successful in tracking light at 146 million miles

Maybe check this out. You weren't very specific on what you wanted but look at the code to get an idea of how it works.

Arduino-Solar-Tracker

Google "GPS object tracking" for about 15,000,000 links.

Keep in mind putting a GPS or tracking devices of any kind on a rocket may/will be extremely frowned upon. Like frown you into prison kinda frowning.

Also, GPS devices don't work above a certain height for this very reason. I get it, rockets are cool and I've even thought it would be a cool project to do myself, but jail time because you thought something was cool isn't worth it. Plus, there really isn't a reason unless you are flying to a location for pictures or something. In that case just use a long range drone or plane.

If you go that route, there are many autonomous flight controllers that have built in gps, altimeter, compass, gyro, accelerometers, etc.

Ok..forgot the rocket then....

I meant by tracking like if I moved a light source per say that the car/vehicle would follow it

Does it drive to a certain distance from the light and then stop?

What kind of light? Any kind? IR?

Are you talking about a laser pointed at the ground or an LED?

Google terms "photophore", "robot", "automata"

You were provided with links on how to use the forum in one of your other posts.
Clearly you did not use that information wisely and now have 48 hours to catch up on those links.
