Guidance using a TFT

Hi,

I am planning to build an ultrasonic water tank meter and want the display to be a large graphical display on a TFT, I was looking at something liek this.

My question is, as I havent done anything with one of these...

How do I send a grphic image to this?

I would pretty much have 10 water level steps, would I simply save say 10 versions of the bar chart as jpg and switch between them or is it better practice to just build the bar graph by segments?

With functions from a library that supports it.

I will start similar project in some weeks from now.
Might bet there are some similar projects already done - just search the I-Net.
Here in Germany I found a project which seems to do most of that what I want to include into my own project.
