Anyone familiar with this I2C device and know how to get it operating? I bought it on ebay, but it wasn't what I expected. It should have been the one they advertised that is much more well known. I can't get it to work with any of the I2C software I can find.
First you should know its I2C address - MultiSpeed I2C Scanner - 50,100,200,400 KHz. - Libraries - Arduino Forum -

Thanks, I'll try that. It was supposed to have been a YW robot LCM1602, but instead they are shipping a different I2C adapter. I complained, and they offered to send me a dollar, as they said that's all they make in profit. Nice logic for compensation for me getting the wrong product, and it being potentially useless to me.
better ask for the datasheet than the dollar ...
No kidding. They are clueless. Said I should talk to a technician. Beware of LCD displays advertised as YW robot LCM1602 from PK girl 2013 on ebay.
