GY-NEO6MV2 not sending data

Hello people. I am working on project which consists of OLED display, ESP32 and GY-NEO6MV2 module (all parts bought from aliexpress
Mine problem is that I cannot get the gps module to sent data to the oled display (module is connected RX-D17 and TX-D16)..
I think module is working fine since outside it starts to blink every second so maybe that means it found sattelites? But no info on a display since I want to see coordinates.
What could be solution to this weird problem? Like I cannot bring up my pc outside to check serial monitor, what should I do?

The GPS receiver only works outdoors (because it needs a direct vision to the satellites); or at least just next to a window. Is this a new to you?

As mentioned, the GPS needs to be outdoors with a clear view of the sky, as the satellite signals are very weak and do not penetrate most building roofs.

I use a battery powered laptop for outdoor tests.

Raises doubts, worries here.

Schematics showing all wiring, pin names, power supply would be interesting to see.

Agrees with @b707. My GPS works even inside the apartment.

Nothing weird about that at all, absolutely normal behavior for a GPS.

Signals from the GPS satellites are extremely weak and most GPSs need to be outdoors with a good view of the sky to reliably pick up the signals.

Take the GPS indoors and the walls and ceiling can very significantly reduce the signals that the GPS receives and thus it stops working as in not reporting a position fix and the LED stops flashing.

Put the GPS outdoors and use a long serial cable to connect to the PC\Laptop that is indoors if you want to test stuff or get a GPS antenna extension cable to put the antenna outdoors or just remove the walls ceilings and floors of your indoors environment.

which specific ESP32 are you using? give a link?

yes i know thats why i said that it starts to blink outside which (could?) means that is receiving info from sattelites

I just found this on AliExpress: BAM2.05 | ESP32 Development Board CP2102 CH340C WiFi+Bluetooth Ultra-Low Power Consumption Wireless Module ESP32-32 NodeMCU-32S
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIeefD2
Esp32 with ch340 usbc

And what is your question then?

Can you get the GPS receiver near a window? That works for me.

so my problem is that my oled display does not show any information about coordinates. I cannot get the thing to show anything like maybe it is not comunicating with the esp32.. I cannot get that

Did you test it while the GPS has received a data (i.e. outdoors)?
In any case, this is a completely different problem than what you described at the beginning.

Please show your code using code tags. The schematic also might help.

does it show anything?
in post 4 @Railroader asked for schematics etc
give details of the OLED?
as post the code?

It just shows on screen no signal, nothing changes after being outside for a while.. I will paste code later and also schematics..
Screen is working fine and it is 0.91” oled display IIC

Forget the OLED screen for now

Read the serial data from the GPS and when a byte is available() write it to the Serial monitor

Guys thanks for helping out, I was able to fix it..
Problem was that I saw online I should connect RX TX to GPIO 16 and 17 (tried changing order of pins in code but even that wasn’t error), not single info updated on display nor the serial monitor, tried diff GPIO pins and it finnaly worked ( I don’t know why this even happened but luckly was able to fix this problem)..
