Hi guys, I have 12v 10amp transformer, and I want to use a halogen lamp which is 12v 50w with it, which resistor should I use!?
Which arduino, that is the question.
Cheers,
Kari

12V lamp, 12V transformer. Nothing there to suggest you need a resistor. What do you think you need a resistor for?

You don't need any resistor. Connect it directly.
I think you are worrying about the POWER difference between the transformer and the lamp.
Since the transformer can provide 10 amps at 12 volts, this means you have up to 12 times 10 or 120 watts of power AVAILABLE.
Therefore, you can run up to two of those halogen lamps at once (50 watts per lamp is 100 watts for two - leaving 20 watts unused).
Hope this makes sense.
