Perhaps because many might feel you are missing the point of the arduino platform. It was designed for beginners to learn how to program and learn basic electronics so that they in time could answer for themselves the kind of questions you have posted. It was never designed to be a plug-and-play solution for people who did not want to start learning from the ground up.
So show us what you have actually started with wiring hook-ups of components and early sketches and many I'm sure will be more then happy to help you out as you proceed with your project.
