Handle arduino from keyboard

Hello, I am building a quadcopter. Um I need your help about something please. I want to buy a joystick and handle my quad. http://www.e-shop.gr/logitech-extreme-3d-pro-joystick-refresh-p-PER.580199 However I dont know many things about arduino so let me tell you what i think i want so you can correct me and i can buy them after that.

I think i need the joystick :stuck_out_tongue:
Also a usb shield (please send me a link)

the joystick sends signal viathe usb shield to arduino and I will handle my ESC from there...Am i missing something? Is it hard to do it? I ahve no idea how usb shield works and wireless shield/ethernet shield works...i dont understand them :expressionless:

How do you fly a quadcopter with a usb cable attached ?

So you're not planning on using an RC radio transmitter ?

I wanna see if eerything is working as i plan to. Then i ll see what i will do and what i will buy.

If you want to bench test a quadcopter via USB and then switch to RF later, the code will be different .
