Hello all,
has any of you used this LCD http://uk.farnell.com/hitachi/sp14n002/lcd-module-mono-stn-5-1/dp/1537054 ? I have a lot of them and would like to use one in my car project and also would like to know if a arduino library exists for them? They are based on the Sanyo LC7981 driver.
I have not used a GLCD before and only just got to grips with Arduino as a complete beginer. Any good advice and tut's for using them that any of you recomend?
Thank you.
I think u8glib (Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting. ) can be used if i add a 240x128 device for your display.
I will add the 240x128 device if you want to do the testing with u8glib.

That sounds great olikraus and yes please.
extract the attrachment into the libraries folder of your Arduino distribution.
(re)start Arduino and load the u8glib/HelloWorld example
Uncomment the line
//U8GLIB_LC7981_240X128 u8g(8, 9, 10, 11, 4, 5, 6, 7, 18, 14, 15, 17, 16); // 8Bit Com: D0..D7: 8,9,10,11,4,5,6,7 en=18, cs=14 ,di=15,rw=17, reset = 16
Replace the pin number with your display interconnect.
Let me know about good and bad results
You can copy the modified uncommented line from 4) also to any other u8glib example. It is also the initial setup for your own code.
