Has anyone programmed one of these 800*480 displays?

I have been playing around with 320240 displays (ILI9341, about AUD$10 worth). I have a couple of 480320 displays on order and I saw lots of these....

for about AUD$25. It seems to be controlled by one RCA video cable.

Anybody programmed one of them? Or any pointers on how to do it?

It seems fast enough etc for motion so would be a nice display to play with Mandelbrots etc.

I have been using Nanos and Dues.

These displays accept an analogue composite video signal so are not suitable for your stated needs.

As you have asked this question I won't suggest you buy one, open it up, figure out how to access the display directly and then try to hack the display driver :slight_smile: ultimately it is not worth the effort.
