Hi,
has anyone tried using (and got working!!) the new ESP01-C3 module
I want to use it as a direct replacement for an HC05 module ie running Bluetooth in a pass-through mode to an Android.
Im not even sure that BT5.X can be used this way, but thats my second issue.
All that Ive discovered so far is that it seems to communicate at 115200 bd, but all I get on a terminal is a series of half height 2's updating every second or so, which I guess is the equivalent of a blink program. As a small aside I tried using the 'classic' FTDI module, but that kept rebooting due to brownouts, wheras the CH340 adapter worked fine. This I believe is due to the CH240 adapter having a 100uF capacitor across the supply. Not sure you can run anything with it though as the data sheet says supply >500ma.
Ive tried to downlod a new program to it(SimpleBLEDevice) by grounding io9 but that gives an error in upload.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction please.
Thanks
Steve
