Has anyone use the WINGONEER prototype PCB from China?

Just got this: Amazon.com : WINGONEER Prototype PCB for Arduino MEGA 2560 R3 Shield Board DIY : Camera & Photo

No instructions. Do I need to solder the pins I'm using to the board? I tried that, but the pins are separate from the black plastic so the pins pull out; I thought they'd be attached. Thanks.

Normally, you’d solder the complete strips of pins to the outer rows of holes. (Cut to length to fit each run of holes)

Those form the ‘shield’ connections to the Arduino.

You place your components within the inner area of the ‘proto shield’, and wire out to those edge pins as needed for your design.
