The Saleae has some features that most others don't appear to have, though.
First, it uploads to your host computer (Mac, PC, Linux) using high-speed USB. This lets it capture up to 10 billion samples, useful for doing high-frequency sampling over a long period of time.
Second, it comes with protocol analyzers, so (as in the screenshot above) it can break out SPI, I2C, Manchester, Serial, 1-Wire, CAN and a few others, which is very handy for seeing if the data is "good" without having to work out what every last leading/trailing edge means.
