Using Arduino 2.2.1 and having trouble installing Esp8266 Went to preferences and http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json2F board.
hit enter and then went to ide ,not able to find the board in tools.
Your link as written gave me a 404 not found error. Did you possibly have the extra 2F on the end of it when you added it in preferences too? https://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json is what you need.
