Having trouble with possible out dated code

I think the code is out dated it throws an error when I try to publish any help is appreciated

What error? Nobody can advise if you don't quote the exact error. I downloaded the Arduino code from the Instructable and it compiles for me. (Edit... Uno R3 and IDE 105)

Post the code , tell us which IDE you are using an the error!.

The IDE on your PC is not seeing your arduino. Try selecting the correct comm port.
