[/quote] The HC-05 is a "classic" Bluetooth 2 device, and it is pretty clear that that is what the OP was using. The BT05 is a Bluetooth 4 (BLE) device, and not a newer version of the former, although it may fit on the same breakout board. It is also not particularly well-suited as a replacement. This may, or may not be explained in that clunky video. If not, as is likely, check the Martyn Currey website, where there is a good overview of these devices..
