Hi
wonder how fast the sensor reads and receives distance. I will use it to measure the bridge heights.
will be mounted on the vehicle roof .
I had intended to mount the sensor at 4.5 m height , the bridges are usually between 4.5 - 7 meters high .
and how fast I can run and measure it would work out at 80 km / h
The speed of sound is about 340 meters per second (dependent on air temperature).
The time to take a reading is slightly longer than the time for sound to travel to the target and back.
so it is possible ?
I was going to put the sensor near the obstacle.
You are the only person on planet Earth who knows the distances involved, and you have the information needed to calculate the time to make a measurement.
Yes understand.
So say the bridge is 100 cm up how do i calculate that?
velocity = distance/time
distance = velocity*time
time = distance/velocity
