I'm trying to read E-DID data from a connected HDMI monitor over I2C with my MKR Vidor 4000. However, it looks like the logic levels are actually not compatible.
In the MKR schematic, PANEL_SDA & PANEL_SCL are pulled up to 3.3V with 6.65K resistors:
The receiver end is pulled up to 5V. I don't see a logic level shifter like in LTC4307-1 or other HDMI interfacing chips:
I did see another schematic where they pull the lines to 3.3V though: HDMI-CEC Interface.
Is it safe to interface the FPGA or SAMD21 with the HDMI DDC to read E-DID?
