Header file generator utilities

There are some out there, here’s one - makeheaders. Any pitfalls? Problems? Cautions? Preferences? Opinions?

Looks like it's for C, rather than C++, so not useful to me.

I would be interested in an easy to use one for C++. I find writing function prototypes very tedious. I guess I'm spoiled by the Arduino IDE's automatic prototype generation. Yes, I know it doesn't always work correctly but that's quite rare these days, and easy to work around.

I guess I haven't needed a tool like that because I only write .h files and don't bother with the .cpp files

From the description: It operates by scanning the C and/or C++ source code, extracting appropriate macros, structure and subroutine declarations and writing this declarations, in the correct order, into the generated header files.
