Hello my name is Eric, I am co owner of a entertainment company called Dark Matter Squad. I am also a tinkerer with electronics, I received my training in BEE (basic electricity and electronics) with the Navy in 1995.

The project I am trying to complete is for a robot suite to use in our performances.

  1. I want to create a surface mount LED matrix on the face shield of the helmet that can scroll TXT and simple images. This is what I am using for a reference. led glasses - YouTube

I want to recreate that effect on the face shield of this.

I need some guidance on the best equipment to use and how best to implement it. Any help you could offer would be amazing!

You're not the first to ask about those glasses. They appear to be made from PCB material and use the PCB traces for horizontal connections and very fine wires for vertical connections. Aside from that they are probably a plain 8x24 matrix.
