hello arduino community. me and my good friend galen (aka Simscube on most other places) have been eying this product for a while and we are really intersted in learning everything about it. well stuff that is relevant to our interests anyway. not everything.
this looks like a great new hobby to start on to further my basic knowledge of DC circuitry. i used to build custom lightsabers in the custom saber builder community. i spent two years there but i have now given that up because of the attitude of the community and all the elitsm that just didnt make it fun.
so know we are here. looking to start fresh and learn what we can in a new comminuty. i say hello to all. ;D i will be reading practically everything there is on the website and looking around here on the forums. hope you dont mind if i ask a question or to. dont worry it wont be: "i got a board how do i make it do stuff?" lol we got plenty of that with saberbuilding.
i would however like a general point in the right direction to someone fairly new in DC circuitry and DC programing. this would be great. i do know some stuff. like ohms law, li ion, li polymer, ni cad, alkaline battery properties, LED properties (i do alot of work with high power LEDs) LED constant current drivers, switches, LED bargraphs, PLIs, LED sequencers, etc. so pretty basic. not much more then what was require for saber building. but now i really want to expand my knowledge.
my goal is to make a board to be able to program image and color patterns in a 60 x 40 RGB LED matrix and also flashing RGB mixed colors to bass frequencies. this im sure would be easier then the prior. anyway. ill see you guys around. get to knwo the community, and put my learnign cap on. later guys.
