Go for it, maybe just don't sell everything you own like we did if you're not sure.
It's a great lifestyle, for example this morning while having breakfast we were watching two crocodiles cruising the river looking for a fish (or a careless fisherman).
Not sure how you'd go in the UK as it's so small (and cold :)) but I guess you have the entire continent to play with as well.
