I am new to the forum but have used the Flash forum and want to say hi. I do has some plans for this product at work. I see that the FAQ states C++. Can I just use C? I am a hack and to old to learn something else. as it is, I will have to relearn C as it is since it has been years. I barely remeber the code.
I was using actionscript for Macromedia's Flash and was decent at it so if any one has used actionscript 2, can you state if it is similar to C?

Ugh. ActionScript looks like Pascal and Java got together and had an ugly child.
The biggest difference you will deal with is the attitude towards memory. With ActionScript, the attitude is that memory is infinite; using the heap is encourage and cost-free. Obviously, with a microcontroller, the opposite is true. The heap should only be used with care and caution.
Other than that, the two languages have a good one-to-one mapping on the stuff you will use the most.
