Help before buying arduino.

Hi everyone

i am in the verge of placing an order of a whole kit of arduino, but just wanted to check in with you experts if what i think i need is already correct.

ok, so the project is to make an X-Y plotter but instead of a pen i use a sryinge to dispense liquid from a sryinge to a styrofoam below it

(i made 2 holes in the rubber plunger .1 for liquid, 1 for air )
the liquid is going to be constantly at a certain level

the main parts i think i need :

eggbot board
2 stepper motor for the xy plotter
1 micro air pump
1 ultrasonic sensor to keep the liquid constantly on a level

do you think i got all the parts in place or did i miss something

any suggestions?

thanks

You didn't specify an specific arduino. Isn't that the most important component ?

i am sorry i thought i did

eggbot or eibot board

i choose this as i read that it already consists of stepper motor driver board

hope this clarifies it

thanks for dropping by

Buy one of the starter kits and spend some time working with the kit before jumping in to a "big" project.

Mark

i bought the starter kits already ,

now am planning to make something that i feel excited about

i thought this was a project guidance sub forum
that is why i posted the questions above ,,

would appreciate if you could tell me what is missing in my list of parts , instead of just yapping off without understanding the whole point of my question

i am open to discussion, but cant tolerate people who thinks they know it all ,

You did not say that you had a start kit ect. As a result of your reply you WILL NOW BE IGNORED.

Your post title specifies "arduino".
The eggbot is a Pic BASED board, NOT an arduino and I see nothing on the page that even remotely suggests that it is arduino compatible or IDE compatible or whatever

. You have gone to the DARK SIDE.

I UNFRIEND YOU...

Aside from trying to get advice about the wrong board, you appear to have forgotten to specify something that keeps the liquid level constant.

Anyway, good luck with your PIC.

I will offer a couple suggestions, but they are basic.

lay out the circuit

once you lay out the entire circuit, you will find what parts fit and what else you need.,

you seem to have the basics, so creating the schematic to connect it all together should not be that difficult.

I think the eggbot itself is a cute device for children and families but it is a one trick pony and not an arduino.
