Help:Bluetooth communication with android phone

Hi,

My project is using arduino pro mini combined with bluetooth mate silver to send data collected from sensors to an android phone, but I am a newbie, can somebody give me some help of how to do this? What I can think of now is to upload the arduino program to the board via USB, and then transfer data via bluetooth to android phone.
