help chosing driver and code for custom LCD

Hello,

I need to drive a custom LCD (no driver) with the following spec: -19 digits * 7segments -70 segments baragraph -20 segments baragraph -9 misc segments (icons)

I have done some adruino programming, but I have never coded / pluged such an LCD

so far, I found HT1621 and it's library to drive the digits the HT1622 and 64*4 capabilties so it could drive all segments, but I only find libraries to drive 16 segments digits and I don't understand how to adapt the code

Could you help me chosing 1 (or maybe 2?) drivers for this screen and source to help coding

thank you

I need help

thank you

Hi,

what's wrong with this request??

I didn't reply because I don't have a clue what the answer is, maybe no one else does.

I was stuck by, it seems to me, the incongruity of your question; driving an LCD like that is, in my opinion, an advanced project so I would expect someone trying to do it to have some idea what driver to use and have been able to come up with at least some suggestions to ask us about.

It would help to see a photo of it and some information about it, like where you got it from, maybe a datasheet and part number at least.

As for code if you want someone to provide code then click on 'report to moderator' and ask them to move this to gigs and collaboration and indicate how much you are willing to pay.

More to the point, you do not appear to know what sort of LCD this is, what sort of multiplexing and what voltages it requires.

Without knowing the critical parameters, it is entirely useless to ask for assistance. :cold_sweat:

Hello, thank you for your answer

no advanced questions are possible? I gave 2 exemples of drivers I found.

sorry, no public photo possible. I have it provided from a specialized company, a custom model.

I am willing to pay, I will try that

Hello,

No, LCD and driver/code are being designed toghether.

fedoto: Hello, thank you for your answer no advanced questions are possible?

Advanced questions are possible but given the way you asked it came across to me that you know little about electronics but were asking an advanced question. This is why, in the forum instructions, we ask you to tell us your level of knowledge and experience, which you didn't do.

I gave 2 examples of drivers I found.

My apologies, so you did.

sorry, no public photo possible. I have it provided from a specialised company, a custom model.

You of course do not have to tell us anything you don't want to tell us, but please remember that works both ways and if you don't provide information we need then we are unlikely to be very helpful.

I am willing to pay, I will try that

Probably best under the circumstances, you will be able to ask for confidentiality then you will be able to share all the information the person helping you asks for. Please ask the mods to move this discussion, rather than starting a new one.

Yes, I gave my level at coding, not on electronics: when reading a driver datasheet, I understand about 70% of the content

yes definitely, I thaugth segment number and digits were a good start, then, multiplexing/voltage/bias/duty etc are not fixed and seem to have standard modern values, after, view angle color, design, that cannont be published shouldn't be a big problem

In my first post, I was asking only for "source to help coding", but a collzboration is also welcome

thanks

fedoto: No, LCD and driver/code are being designed together.

Then the company that is producing the LCD will provide you with the information on how to drive it.

please tel me know witch one does that

Do you want this thread moved to Gigs and Collaborations ?

yes sir, please let me know the conditions, I red this thread (https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=652259.0 ) but couldn't find information

Moved as requested

I am not clear what you mean by conditions

UKHeliBob: I am not clear what you mean by conditions

price, gurantees, confidentiality...

price, gurantees, confidentiality...

You set them as required. There are no forum rules about it

looks like I am back to start...

fedoto: looks like I am back to start...

How much are you willing to pay ? What guarantee of performance do you require ? What level of confidentiality do you require ?

Normally you would outline your requirements here then, if anyone is interested further contact would not be via the public forum so would not be visible to others

price $150 requierment: driver selection + code / library to communicate with driver(s). see technical information I gave in first post, to begin

PM if interested

thank you

IF not per hour, then someone is just dreaming.
