Help Connecting Arduino Uno R4 WIFI to WIFI

I am currently using this guide to connect my Arduino Uno R4 WIFI to the internet and I am stuck on the very first step.

Under the "First configuration" section, it says to "Power the board and wait some time. Search the board in the network list, it has an ESSID like this: Arduino-Uno-WiFi-xxxxxx.", but I see no such entry on my network list.

The Arduino is currently connected to my laptop via USB-C and has been for over thirty minutes. The light on the board is green. I do not understand why this is not working. I am using Windows 11 OS, if that matters. Any help would be appreciated.

If there is a better category for this, please redirect me.

What sketch have you uploaded to the board ?

Just the blink tutorial which is also on the page

Exactly which Arduino do you have ?

Your topic title says Arduino R4 WiFi but the page that you linked to is about the Arduino Uno WiFi. They are two completely different boards

I appreciate your help bob, I will give you "upvotes" as my gift.

So, are you sorted now ?

Have you connected whatever board you have (I am guessing the Uno R4 WiFi) to the Internet ?

Make sure your wifi is 2.4Ghz. To ensure connection, the SSID and Password should not be too long or contain special characters.

Suggestions: Use your phone to create a simple 2.4Ghz hotspot and use it to connect your board.
