[HELP] controll motor in arduino with a power voltage entrance

hi.
first, say this is my first time in arduino,and I have no idea.

I'm trying to use arduino to control 2 motors.

I need the motor go on and stay working 4 seconds when receive power in one of the arduino's entrance,and the same but with the motor's direction changed when i take the power off.

I really don't know if arduino can do it.

I don't know if I need only 2 motor, or if I need special motor or extra pieces, or what I need.

Arduino can certainly do it , however you ll need a motor driver/shield to make the motors work !!!
