Hi all (newbie here)
does anyone know of tutorials that show the right pins connections and sketches to control a dc motor with an encoder via a l298p shield (on top of the arduino)?
I have a simple ask, I wish to control two DC motors from the arduino and the shield (L298p). External power is 12v as are both motors. Motor A is a motor with an inbuilt encoder and I wish to use this to move the motor back and forth (never in a complete rotation though) and also when powering up, return the motor to the original position. Motor B will simply be fed power and the speed controlled by a potentiometer (this is a connected to one of the outputs on the motor shield and does not need any code as it will be manually controlled by the user).
I also need to ensure that motor A does not move until Motor B reaches a specific speed of rotation.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
