I have been looking around for a gondola style v plotter that uses servos instead of steppers. Is there anything out there like that already? Especially with code shared?
Depends on what you mean by servos. If you mean hobby servos with ppm control i believe their precision is insufficient. You you mean servo drives many of them can be set to emulate a step motor driver with step/dir inputs
