HELP first my NodeMCU v3 worked for 6 months or so and last week i got this error

A fatal esptool.py error occurred: Cannot configure port, something went wrong. Original message: PermissionError(13, 'A device connected to the system does not work.', None, 31)

can someone please help me my thesis is comming up quick and now i get this error can someone please help me!

Just today I got a "Some of your boards have updates available" and when I clicked on "Update All" it appeared to be updating ESP32 to V2.0.9. My next compile for ESP32 failed with an unusual error in the compilation process. When I went to check on the board support it said V2.0.8 of ESP32 was still installed. I clicked on the "Update" button and it re-installed V2.0.9 which fixed the compile error.

Suggestion: Go to the Boards Manager and update the ESP8266 support.

it works i updated the NodeMCU v3 driver with a .EXE it works now thanks!
