we are constructing a machine for printing circuits :

so in joint 1 and joint 2 we need sevomoteurs , but we need the to know the couple to make the right choice :
so what we know is the circuit should be 30 x 30 cm
the axe OX should be 30 cm and axe OY 30 cm;
"Couple" refers to the torque from a particular pair of forces (hence the name),
the general word is "torque", for the resultant total rotary force.
Since the machine is moving in the horizontal plane the only forces are friction
and acceleration forces, neither of which can be guessed from the information
presented.
I suspect that the loads at the joints are well within the capabilities of a standard sized hobby servo.
But I also suspect that hobby servos won't get anywhere near the positioning accuracy and repeatability that would be required. I suspect the you would have difficulty with accuracy even with microstepping stepper motors unless you had some reduction gearing without backlash.
Are there commerical machines available that work as you envisage? if so how are they controlled?
